These are the purr-fect pussycats to be entered into our Cute Pets competition so far.
We are looking for the most adorable animal in south-east London and north Kent, and we are currently on the kitties’ cat-egory.
Owners are invited to send us a snap of their feline friends if they think theirs is the area’s prettiest or most handsome cat – the pet whose photo will produce the longest ‘awww’ or the loudest squeals of delight from people.
All the entries are being added to a gallery here on our site – which you can view by flicking through the photos above.
After entry closes on June 1, we will choose our 10 favourite photos.
They will go into the final, where they will be joined by 10 dogs that have already been selected and 10 other ‘miscellaneous’ animals selected from a third heat to come next month.
Our overall winner will be decided in a public vote – with £75 and much glory going to the owner of the champion pet, plus runners-up prizes up for grabs.
If you think your kitty is the cutest out there, send us a picture and details using the entry form here
To enter, you need to live within the News Shopper area (the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Dartford, Gravesham, Greenwich and Lewisham, plus certain other local places such as Swanley) and be at least 18 years old.
