Two people in balaclavas attempted a robbery outside a bank in Dartford town centre this afternoon (May 17).
A man tried, but failed, to steal cash from a security van driver in Lowfield Street at 2.34pm – whilst a second person waited in a red BMW.
One witness told News Shopper he was about to withdraw money from a cash machine outside Barclay’s, when he witnessed the attempted theft.

No injuries have been reported, and officers from Kent Police are currently at the scene – where a post office van is said to be taped off.
Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 101, quoting reference 17-0644.
