A Swanscombe man has been jailed after breaking into a Gravesend building site and stealing tools while a Gravesend woman is also behind bars after shoplifting more than a £100 worth of meat.
Kevin Hodges, 23, of Manor Road, broke into a construction site in Church Lane and stole tools worth an unknown amount on November 15.
Hodges was sentenced to 120 days in prison at Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 24. He must also pay £200 compensation and £200 costs.
In a separate case, Gemma Kaye Gurr, 26, of Stuart Road, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and common assault in Overcliffe on March 25.
Gurr stole meat worth £148 and assaulted a woman at a supermarket.
Magistrates sentenced Gurr to 90 days in prison on March 28 at the same court.
She must also pay an £80 victim surcharge.
