One of Thamesmead's chicken-loving herons has been spotted perched on the roof of KFC, it's favourite local eatery.
The large grey birds are a popular figure in Thamesmead, having been seen strolling over to KFC this time last year.
The heron was most pictured on Thursday by Chris Waite, who posted the picture on the Thamesmead All Stages SE28 Facebook page.
He captioned it: "Hannibal waiting for some chicken..."

In March last year, a group of herons were seen using the zebra crossing to head in the direction of the fast food restaurant in Cannon Retail Park.
