Police stormed a Greenwich hotel after hearing reports a man was armed with a gun and a knife last night (February 23).
It followed a call to the emergency line, in which a man claimed someone with in his hotel room with the weapons.
When Met Police officers arrived at the Mercure Hotel, in Catherine Grove, they found a man who was suffering from a mental health crisis in the reception area - armed with a knife.
The man was disarmed by officers. He was also found to have white powder on him, and was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine.

He was taken to hospital for a mental health assessment, by officers from Greenwich Police.
The patient was subsequently bailed to attend a police station at a later date.
