A brainteaser dubbed 'fruit algebra' has gone viral on the internet, causing mass confusion over what the correct answer is.
The fruity equation seems simple at first glance but it's not as easy as it looks.
It's been shared thousands of times on social media, but no-one seems to be able to agree on an answer.

Some mathematicians might come to the conlusion that the apple is worth 10, the banana worth 4 and the coconut worth 2, so the answer is 16.
But they are probably wrong.
Those who looked more closely point out there's only one coconut and three bananas pictured in the last line.
