A young man was rushed to hospital after smashing into a tree in Thamesmead.

Emergency services rushed to Carlyle Road, at its junction with Bentham Road, just before 6.30pm last night (February 14).

A car ended up on its side in the middle of a roundabout, crashing into a tree.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) sent an ambulance crew and treated the driver, in his 20s, for neck and back injuries.
