A pensioner waved a sword around and threatened police officers, after they were called to help a gas supply company enter his Beckenham home.
Police attended an address in Holly Crescent at 4.30pm yesterday (February 9).
A man in his 70s was arrested for affray and assault and has been bailed until the end of the month.
A Met Police spokesman said: “He was arrested on suspicion of affray and assault on police after waving the sword around and threatening officers.
“The utility company had a warrant to enter the address to carry out some work inside the property.
“He was refusing them entry and causing a disturbance, hence the call to the police.”
There were no injuries.
