An elderly driver was taken to hospital after his car ploughed into a metal post at Elmers End Tesco car park.
The silver vehicle crashed into the pillar and damaged two other cars in the Croydon Road supermarket car park at around 4.30pm yesterday (January 20).
Police and paramedics attended and the driver, an elderly man, was taken to hospital suffering with a hand injury.
Twitter user Marzia Nicodemi-Ehik posted a photo of the aftermath of the crash, which shows the silver car’s crumpled bonnet and number plate wrapped around the bollard.
A Met Police spokeswoman said no other vehicles were involved in the crash but two parked cars had suffered damage.
No arrests were made.
