THE Duke of Edinburgh has visited the fire-hit Cutty Sark.
Prince Philip made the trip after attending the official opening of the new planetarium and education centre at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich with the Queen.
He spoke to staff involved in the restoration project and people who helped fight the fire.
Forensic officers yesterday began the process of investigating the Cutty Sark, now the 19th-century ship has been declared safe.
A website collection money for the restoration of the ship has received more than £20,000 since Monday.
