A MUSIC tutor from Eltham has penned a song in the running for Sing London, a contest to find the official anthem for the 2012 Olympics.
Jeff Barnes, who works for Greenwich Music Service, is currently top of the public poll in the BBC London competition with his song London Games (City Of Dreams).
His daughter Laura provides vocals on the catchy track, his son Stewart, a studio engineer, programmed the drums and Jeff "did the rest".
"This is my final fling," Jeff said. "I was a pro musician in the seventies with Greenwich band Ice Cream.
"If it wins it will be previewed in July by a 50-piece children's orchestra. It would be great to hear it nationwide."
Voting closes on May 21. For details, visit bbc.co.uk/london
