The Wanted's Tom Parker is the latest celebrity to become a patron for hospice charity Ellenor - who support over 150 seriously and terminally ill kids in Kent.

The 27-year-old boy band star, who is originally from Petts Wood, has supported the charity for some time.

He recently raised £5,000 for the hospice on ITV's All Star Mr and Mrs, with his girlfriend and actress Kelsey Hardwick.

Mr Parker said: "I feel honoured to be a patron of Ellenor.

News Shopper:

"I can think of nothing more worthwhile than supporting such a great local charity that provides the best possible care and support to families facing terminal illness in Kent.

"Having personally met some of the amazing children that ellenor helps, I feel really proud to lend my support and I encourage others to do the same in whatever way you can.

"Together, our support will have such an impact for local families."

The singer joins TV property expert Phil Spencer, Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, former EastEnders actress Cheryl Fergison, and Dragon Den's sculptor Guy Portelli - who are all patrons for Ellenor.

Ellenor is the only charity in the country to provide hospice care for seriously ill people off all ages.
