The body of a young man has been discovered in a park in Anerley.
Emergency services were called to Betts Park, along Anerely Road, just after 7am this morning (November 4) to reports of a body in the grounds.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene.
They sent numerous resources, including a motorcycle responder and an ambulance.
An LAS spokesman confirmed a man was found dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
MORE TOP STORIES They believe they know the identity of the deceased - thought to be 23 - but are awaiting formal identification.
Officers are trying to trace his next of kin.
According to social media, the man is believed to have been hanged.
There are reports of a police cordon in place.
