A Swanley shoplifter had a close shave when he was spared prison for stealing electrical goods, including a razor worth more than £300.
Stephen Barnes, 33, pinched a shaver worth £300 from a shop in Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells, on June 25 and a hair trimmer and an electric toothbrush worth £320 from the same store on September 10.
TOP STORIES: Barnes, of Cranleigh Drive, was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for 18 months.
He must also pay £299 compensation, a £180 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
Barnes pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and was sentenced at West Kent Magistrates’ Court.
