Plans from Mercedes-Benz have emerged that show its intention to build a new car dealership on a former hospital site in north Kent.
The luxury car brand has submitted an outline planning application to Dartford Council for a new showroom and workshop at Bridge industrial site in Dartford.

The 260-acre brownsite was formerly occupied by the Joyce Green Hospital and Littlebrook Lakes.
The proposal covers a four-acre area at the eastern end of the development opposite Sainsbury’s.
The application, made in conjunction with construction group Prologis UK, includes MoT facilities and an agreement to leave a grassland area for local wildlife.

The proposed area of land is known in planning terms as Plot 2 of the Bridge just over a mile northeast of the town centre.
