The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called earlier today (October 1) to the Greenwich Islamic Centre, along Plumstead Road.

Four fire engines and 21 fire fighters tackled a fire on the roof, thought to be caused by burning rubbish.

One man suffered minor burns and was treated by the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

The LAS sent the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), an ambulance crew, a single responder by car and an incidence response officer.

London's Air Ambulance also attended.
