Fans of the original, don’t panic - the first trailer for the new Dad’s Army movie has landed.
The classic sitcom is getting made into a star-studded British movie with south London, Kent and Surrey stars making up the old Walmington-on-Sea.
Hammersmith’s Toby Jones stars as Captain Mainwaring while the clip also shows Crayford-raised and Meopham dwelling veteran actor Michael Gambon as ditzy Godfrey, Caterham’s Bill Nighy as the smooth Wilson and Greenwich-born Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison as dippy Pike.
Fans of the 70s sitcom will see from the clip that this is anything but a reimagining, with the spirit of the classic comedy very much intact.
Dad’s Army is out February 5, 2016.
