A famous Downe resident could be coming to the big screen in Disney film soon.
No, it’s not Nigel Farage.
Charles Darwin - the man who changed the world with the theory of evolution and lived in Down House - is the subject of a script that’s been acquired by the film studio, according to deadline.com.
Oscar-winning director Stephen Gaghan (Traffic) has written an adventure film starring Darwin and is likely to direct it too.
The last time Darwin appeared on the big screen was in 2009's Creation, played by Paul Bettany. The film used Down House and there's a chance the camera's could be descending on the village again.
