The spice was right for one Chislehurst Indian restaurant which picked up a prestigious award.

Mountain View on the High Street was crowned the best achiever in the country at a ceremony in London last week.

Owner of Mountain View Restaurant, Dashu Pandey, was presented with the award by news presenter Cathy Newman.

Mr Pandey said: “It was fantastic to be awarded in best achieving restaurant category. We were absolutely overjoyed to be named the best achiever in the country.

"I'd like to thank all our loyal customers who are coming through our doors and to our team at Mountain View, because it's been a real team effort."
