There are just a couple of days left to enter News Shopper's competition giving primary schools across the Bromley borough the chance to win £500.

We want to know all about the good work your school has been doing in the local community this academic year – and we want you to tell us about it in the form of a News Shopper newspaper front page that you design.

Funded by local businessman Gulraj Dhillon, owner of Petts Wood Pharmacy, a first prize of £500 and two runners-up prizes of £250 will be awarded to the best entries.

Entries can come from the whole school, a class group or club, or a particular project, but must involve children currently at the school.

On your front page you can tell one or more stories about charity work, caring or general community support and engagement.

News Shopper:

Try to follow a newspaper layout, using attention-grabbing headlines, good quality photos, picture captions and quotes. Marks will be awarded based on how strongly the school’s value to the community comes across, as well as for having interesting articles supported by facts and for good page design.

To enter, click here to open a blank News Shopper front page template as a PDF or click here to open as a jpg file that you can then either save or print out to put your design on.

Once complete, email your entry to ltapsell@london.newsquest.co.uk - mark it up as 'School front page competition'.

The closing date is July 10, after which judging will take place.
