Four men were arrested after an 'altercation' in Lewisham yesterday evening (May 27) which left one man in hospital with head injuries.
Met Police officers on patrol witnessed a Smart car collide with traffic lights at the junction of New Cross and Hatcham Park Road, just before 7pm.
A fight then ensued between the driver of the car and three occupants of a VW Golf which stopped at the scene.
It is currently unknown whether anyone else was travelling in either of the cars.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Three of the four men were arrested by police on suspicion of affray; a fourth man was arrested for affray and GBH.
"One of those arrested was taken to hospital suffering head injuries.
"His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
"The other three men have been taken to a south London police station where they remain in custody."
The A2 New Cross was closed both way following the incident, between Pomeroy Street and Queens Road.
