Gravesend lifeboat crews were called last night (May 19) to reports of a person threatening to enter the Thames at Thamesmead.
The lifeboat launched just before 10pm but was quickly stood down following reports the person was now safely away from the water.
They were left in the care of the police.

Crews were called earlier in the day to another person threatening to enter the water from Erith pier.
The lifeboat launched around 5pm but while on route it was confirmed that the casualty was safe in the care of paramedics.
