Were you a Lego obsessive or always had a Barbie doll in your hand? Was your childhood transformed by Transformers or given a fresh twist by the Rubik’s Cube?
For this competition we want you to think back to when you were a kid, however many years (or decades) that was, and remember what your favourite toy was.
Send us a photo (preferably of you playing with it) along with a description of what made it so special to you, and you could win a share of £300 vouchers from The Entertainer toy shop.
If you’re chosen as one of our three winners you could spend the prize on the kids in your life now, be they your own children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews – or even yourself if you’ve grown up to be a big kid!
To enter all you need to do is submit a photo of your favourite childhood toy, a caption explaining why you remember the toy so fondly and of course a few details about yourself too.
We'd prefer to see you in your photo but we'll settle just for the toy so long as the picture is yours and not pinched off another website somewhere.
Click here to enter on Facebook, or you can submit an entry on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #nsbesttoys
The closing date for entries is May 25. After this we’ll choose the winners based on which photos and memories we like the best. You'll stand the best chance if you can dig out a good photo and write a funny, interesting or touching caption to go with it.
As soon as photos are submitted you, your friends and family, and the wider public will be able to share them around and vote. However, voting will be ‘just for fun’ and will not decide the winner.
The top 3 winners get a £100 each of vouchers from The Entertainer.
This competition is celebrating The Entertainer opening a new Orpington store in The Walnuts Shopping Centre on May 16 – and you’ll be celebrating too if you get your hands of £100 of lovely new toys.
