Police are appealing for information after a post box worth £200 was stolen from outside a Hartley pub.

The post box, believed to date back to the Victorian era, was discovered missing on April 9.

It had been embedded into a wall at the front of the Black Lion pub in Ash Road.

It is unknown whether there was any mail inside during theft, although the post-box is believed to be rarely used.

The post box is cast iron and believed to be valued at around £200.
