The family of a Bromley police officer who died following a road collision have paid tribute to him.

Jonathan Bull, 47, from Chatham in Kent, died when three vehicles were in collision on the M11 northbound between junctions eight and nine, near the junction for Saffron Walden, on Friday, March 20.

His family said: "Jon leaves behind a loving wife, two brothers, two sons and two daughters, as well as his extended family members.

"He was a long-standing and well respected police officer with the Metropolitan Police.

"He served the London borough of Bromley in various roles, more recently as a Safer Neighbourhood Officer supporting the local community.

"He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and his colleagues.

MORE TOP STORIES "Jonathan grew up locally in the Bromley area and attended Highfield Primary School, going on to study at Langley Park School for Boys.

"He then had a number of jobs before joining the police service in May 2004.

"He was a well-respected police officer, who was held in high regard by his colleagues and took pride in serving his community.

"Jonathan was an avid football fan. He took part in a fantasy league and supported Chelsea Football Club.

"He was an amazing father and husband, who took great pride in his children.

"His eldest son would like to say on behalf of his younger brother and sisters that they cannot express how heartbroken they are at the loss of their dad.

"He was a funny, caring and supportive father who means the world to them and they will miss him so very much.”
