MEMBERS of a twinning association have enjoyed a walk through the countryside.
Eleven ramblers met outside a pub to do a four-mile walk around Hartley.
Members of the Swanley Twinning Association get together once a month to take part in walks between two and five miles long.
The club, which has around 100 members, started in 1985 when Swanley was twinned with Verrieres-le-buisson in northern France.
Both associations, in France and Swanley, alternate trips to either country each year.
In April the French are coming to Swanley for a long weekend and are set to go on tours around Kent and Sussex.
The circular walk on February 25, started and finished outside the The Royal Oak pub in Chapel Wood Road, New Ash Green.
Chairman of the association's social committee, Jim Dunn, said: "It was a nice day, slightly muddy in places, but we had a nice hot lunch to keep us warm afterwards."
