More than 500 people gathered in Green Street Green to set a new world record – of humans dressed as daffodils.
Pupils, parents and staff at Green Street Primary, in Vine Road, decided to break a world record or go on better and set one.
Youngsters at the school researched record attempts before settling on the one with flower power.
504 people donned their best for the attempt on Friday (March 20), of which around 440 were children.
The age of participants ranged from two years old – as some pre-school children got involved – to 60.
MORE TOP STORIES Headteacher David Abrahams said: “We hope we’ve made a record.
“The children have been raising money for Marie Curie so wanted to do something in keeping with that, they’ve also been growing daffodils.
“Children had headdresses and wore brown and green clothes, some stayed dressed up all day.
“They got really excited about filling in the paperwork but we’ll have to wait see if it’s official.
”We had ladies from Marie Curie come down and do the official head count.”
The school is also collecting money for the NASIO Trust, and are still counting final amounts raised from the record attempt.
