A Greenwich schoolboy has raised almost £1,000 for Comic Relief by performing a live rap on Red Nose Day.
Alfie Pryke, 10, successfully performed a 341 word live rap of the 'Alphabet Aerobics' song by Blackalicious at the Cutty Sark Pub on Friday (March 13).
Dozens of people from across the community, including Alfie's headteacher attended the event and donations have come in from as far away as Switzerland, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Alfie managed to smash his original fundraising target of £260, £10 for each letter of the alphabet, in one day.
He said: "I am ecstatic to have smashed my target for Comic Relief.
"It was tough learning the rap but I really enjoyed it and it was all worth it.
"I really hope people keep giving so I can raise even more."
The 'Alphabet Aerobics" track was brought into the spotlight when Daniel Radcliffe performed the song on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Alfie added that he was already working hard to think up a new challenge for next year.
