Swanley’s Citizens Advice Bureau is one of the organisations which will receive a share of £153,000 from Sevenoaks Council over the next year.
Around £54,790 in funding will be made available to 24 local groups who support volunteers, people with mental health problems, families and also provide support for sport and the arts.
A further £98,540 has currently been set aside for the Citizens Advice Bureaux including the branch in Swanley High Street.
Sevenoaks District Council's portfolio holder for community grants Councillor Roddy Hogarth said: "I’d like to pay tribute to the invaluable work carried out by local voluntary organisations and volunteers who so freely give their time and energy to the enormous benefit of the communities within the District and beyond.
"I’m so glad that we are able to continue to support these groups as their work improves the quality of life for some of the District’s most vulnerable and needy people".
The funding plans were agreed at a council meeting on March 5.
