A YOUNG man asked firefighters to cut off his wedding ring after it got stuck.
The man, believed to be in his twenties, asked for the assistance of Orpington firefighters after he could not remove the jewellery.
Firefighters used a specialist piece of ring cutting equipment to remove it.
A spokesman said: "It's quite a common thing.
"People try them on or fingers get swollen."
