A paint throwing festival left revellers covered in colour on Saturday (Mar 7).
Mother-of-two Savithri Bhat helped organised the Holi event, a Hindu celebration, at Danson Youth Centre in Brampton Road after holding a similarly successful event last year.
Ms Bhat was pleased with how the Bexley community got into the spirit of the Indian festival of colour.
The 38-year-old, said: “More than 200 people came along to our second annual Holi event.
“We were overwhelmed with the enthusiastic turnout, it was sold out. We were also surprised to discover a couple who had travelled from Birmingham to attend.
“As well as crafts, story and food, we enjoyed throwing colour on each other and there was even some singing and dancing at the end with new friendships were made.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to share our Hindu festival with the local community and celebrate the diversity in Bexley borough.
“We also hold an Asians parent and toddler group at the Danson Centre and intend to hold an event for Diwali - Hindu festival of Lights - in the autumn. We’d encourage people from all cultures and backgrounds to come along.”
