FIFTEEN children did their bit for the environment by planting a hedge in a park.
Year 7 pupils from Bromley High School, Blackbrook Lane, gave up their free time to plant the hedge at the edge of Jubilee Country Park, Petts Wood.
Their efforts will provide a home for small animals and birds.
The Friends of Jubilee Park group ran the event to encourage children to help the environment.
Bromley High School headteacher Lorna Duggleby said: "I am so pleased the girls gave up their free time to benefit the community and environment.
"Environmental education is very much a part of our curriculum and we have an environmental forum run by one of the science staff."
The planting was funded by the Woodland Trust as part of its Tree for All campaign, which aims to help children plant 12 million trees in the next five years.
