STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Len Goodman has launched a council initiative to get residents fit.
The 62-year-old Greenhithe resident, who runs dancing schools in north Kent, opened his first centre in The Grove, Gravesend, in the mid-1960s.
The BBC1 judge launched Gravesham Council's Active Gravesham campaign at Cascades Leisure Centre in Thong Lane, Gravesend, on February 1.
Dancing is one activity being promoted by the council during the campaign, which aims to help residents get fit.
Mr Goodman said: "I admire what the council is doing and hope it is a success."
