STAFF at the Sidcup offices of the DVLA have resumed opening mail following a letter bomb attack on the organisation's HQ.
Workers were ordered not to receive any mail yesterday after a letter bomb exploded at the DVLA's Swansea base.
Seven such devices have been sent to traffic related organisations in the past two weeks.
On Monday there was an attack on London congestion charge operator Capita.
Following the Swansea attack, in which a woman worker was injured, DVLA staff nationwide were ordered not to open mail as a precaution.
The company also stopped receiving post.
However, the DVLA has resumed opening mail today.
Staff at the Sidcup office, in Station Road, and further afield have been warned to be extra vigilant when handling mail.
A spokesman said: "The safety of staff is paramount to the agency and we continually review our security proceedures."
