RICHARD Lane, the first male diabetes patient in the UK to receive an islet transplant, paid a return visit on the January 19.
He displayed enthusiasm for life and great confidence in the medical team.
As he is being treated in a centre of excellence for diabetes, he has talked to leading clinicians/researchers and so can describe in developments in treatment.
He is currently on a speaking tour of the UK with the aim of obtaining funding for diabetes research at King's College Hospital.
