Police are searching for two good samaritans who helped a 17-year-old boy in New Ash Green after he was reportedly pelted with rocks and hit with sticks by a teenage mob.

The incident occurred outside Ash House in Ash Road, New Ash Green, on January 23 between 4.30pm and 5pm.

Six teenagers allegedly threw rocks at him and hit him with sticks before a man came from Ash House and helped victim as the suspects ran off.

Then the man walked down Centre Road where he saw the group again and they allegedly beat him and stamped on him.

During the assault it is believed several motorists saw the disturbance and sounded their horns.

After the alleged assault two women came to the aid of the victim, one drove him home and now police are appealing for them to come forward.

Investigating officer Police Constable Swift said: “We are keen to hear from the motorists who witnessed the incident as well as the two women who came to the aid of the victim.

“We understand they showed great bravery by intervening and helping the teenager home. One of the women told the victim she was 26-years-old.

“I’d like to appeal directly to these ladies to come forward. They may have information crucial to the investigation.’

A 15-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys have all been arrested in connection with the incident. The have been bailed pending further enquiries.
