DOCTORS have moved from temporary buildings to a new £1m medical centre after seven years of planning.
The 7,500 patients registered at Perry Hill Surgery, Perry Hill, Catford, can now visit their doctor in more comfortable surroundings.
The new Woolstone Medical Centre in Woolstone Road, Forest Hill, opened on February 5 and has five GPs.
It also has a diabetic clinic, a library and lunch room.
Perry Hill opened as a temporary measure five-and-a-half years ago but negotiations to get Woolstone off the ground took longer than expected.
The building has been privately funded by the practice.
Dr Hilary Entwistle, who has moved from Perry Street to the new building, said: "Working in temporary buildings has not been easy.
"I'd like to thank staff and patients for their loyalty."
The practice telephone number - 020 8699 1062 - is unchanged.
