A FIRE crew had to saw a 10-year-old boy out of handcuffs after he lost the key.
The youngster had locked the metal cuffs to his wrist but was unable to unlock or wriggle out of them.
The frightened boy was brought to Biggin Hill fire station at 6pm last night by his mother. Duty staff used a hacksaw to remove the cuffs.
A member of the team who released the boy said: "We had to reassure him we weren't going to saw his hand off at first.
"My advice would be not to play around with handcuffs, but if you do get stuck, just remember we're here to help."
