FOURTH Wall Productions brings film and video into the theatre with an amusing mix of sketches about an enthusiastic, if misguided, cable television station, MCN TV!

Mocking current TV programming, the range of teasing entertainment includes the tipsy Delia Tits attempting to cook, roving reporter Lindsey Hogan canvassing public opinion on the streets of London and lively roller-blader Jason T Fox, whose mission is to "fix-up fat people".

The many roles are performed with energy, fervour and a convincing array of accents.

As with any sketch show, the comedy is hit and miss, and a few characters could do with developing - a high-pitched Tyneside lad does not really exploit the comedy provided and the Feature Homes designer has the potential to be a bigger stereotype.

What is shown is how this company has some great ideas which are ripe for expansion.

If there are any technical problems in the show, they are disguised by the premise of the TV station being so unprofessional.

But the lines could be drawn more clearly - a recurring blip in the videos gets irritating after a while.

Fourth Wall has missed some opportunities to fully exploit the mix of stage and screen, but the company has created a show for the YouTube generation - proving to a new audience that theatre is not all serious.

The Brockley Jack Theatre has been bold staging this production, reflecting its community spirit.

MCN TV! is something different which will appeal to comedy club goers and is accesible to youthful daytime TV audiences - over-15's are specified.

Leave your politically correct sensitivities at home.
