ABLE ESTATES is calling on charities and good causes to submit ideas for a community-led campaign it is planning to launch.

The agent is celebrating 10 years of business in Abbey Wood this month and to mark the occasion, the company wants to give something back to the community it serves.

One of the firm's founding members Peter Jones said: "We have decided the best way to celebrate would be to support a charity or worthwhile cause which could benefit from our financial help.

"This is an extremely exciting opportunity for us, though at this stage we do not know who we will be supporting.

"This is why we are asking for worthwhile causes to get in touch. Our aim is to concentrate on one cause, however we are keeping an open mind and are open to suggestions as we have no idea how successful this appeal will be.

"We wish to combine our celebrations with helping the community and see this as our chance to say thank you for the past 10 years. The only criteria we have is the cause is based within our community."

Back in 1997, Peter along with Paul Servis and Dawn Servis were the only staff employed by the company and were breaking into a market which was then suffering from a property recession. Able Estates now employs more than 20 members of staff and has a second branch in Northumberland Heath. There are plans in place for a third branch in Bexley borough.
