TWO women and a teenage girl have appeared in court accused of running a fake charity collection.
Daniela Vasile, aged 22, Veronica Constantin, 26, and a 16-year-old girl, all of no fixed address but believed to be from north London, are charged with fraud by false representation and also being in possession of articles to be used in fraud.
They were arrested by officers from Rushey Green safer neighbourhood team on January 27.
The arrests followed an allegation that the women were using bogus charity donation forms for the charity Handicap International based in France, canvassing members of the public for donations.
The trio appeared at Greenwich Magistrates' Court on January 29 and were bailed to appear again on February 12.
