A man had to be airlifted to hospital after he was hit by a tractor in Higham on New Year’s Day.
He suffered multiple injuries when he was struck by the vehicle shortly after 9am yesterday at Stables Cottages in Hermitage Road.
It is not yet clear how the accident happened.
The patient was flown to King’s College Hospital by air ambulance, which took just less than half-an-hour.
He sustained injuries to his chest, hand, upper leg, upper arm and lower leg.
Police, fire and regular ambulance crews also attended.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 9.45am on January 1 to an address in Hermitage Road, Higham, following a report that a man had been in collision with a tractor.
"He was taken to hospital and treated for injuries described as superficial.
“The matter has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive."
