Two men have been jailed after being caught fleeing the scene of a Beckenham burglary.
Darren Moore, 36, of Crystal Palace Park Road, Sydenham, was jailed for 32 months after pleading guilty to burglary.
Accomplice James Hill, 28, of Beckett Walk, Beckenham, was jailed for eight months after he too pleaded guilty to burglary.
Police arrived at a house in Lennard Road on October 20 after reports of two men breaking in around 3pm.
On the scene within four minutes, police saw two men trying to escape over a fence in the back garden.
Moore was spotted trying to get rid of jewellery stolen in the burglary while attempting to get away, but was swiftly apprehended.
Hill was detained in a nearby wooded area after a short pursuit.
The stolen jewellery was returned to the family.
Both men were sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on December 5.
