Twenty fire fighters have been tackling a blaze at a Blackheath Chinese restaurant today.
Four fire engines attended at the incident at Sun Ya restaurant on Stratheden Road.
All of the restaurant’s ventilation system and part of the ground floor was damaged. Neighbouring shops reported smoke billowing out of the flat windows above the restaurant.
The fire, which started at 12.11pm was under control at 1.46pm and there were no reports of injuries.
Fire fighters from Plumstead, Lee Green, Deptford and Lewisham fire stations attended.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
