Members of a Forest Hill group for recovering addicts walked from their centre into Lewisham to talk about their experiences.
New Direction provides help for people who have problems with drug and alcohol abuse from its premises in Lewisham High Street and Dartmouth Road.
And, this month, clients and workers joined together for an awareness-raising march between the two venues.
Recovery worker Winston Rickman explained the service has between 700 and 1,000 users.
He said: "It was great. By the time we got back to Lewisham we'd made a lot of noise. It was really good for the service users."
