Reports of a graffiti artist under a train brought services to a halt and closed Catford station last night (September 18).
British Transport Police were called out at around 10pm following the reports.
The London Ambulance Service also sent its specialist Hazardous Area Response Team to the station but, despite a search of the building and the line, nobody was found.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Trespassing on the railway is illegal and very dangerous. It puts the lives of those who do it and many others at risk."
Enquiries into the incident are still ongoing. Any with information should call British Transport Police on 0800 405 040.
