Staff at Nando’s in Bexleyheath were surprised to see gold-medalist Adam Gemili tucking into a trademark dinner on Thursday.
The British sprinter, whose winning time of 10.05 seconds established a new championship record at the 2012 Barcelona World Junior Championships, attended the restaurant with friends say staff at the Market Place store.
A spokesperson for the Nando’s store said: “He was really lovely and approachable and it was great to get a picture with him.”
Gemili won his first senior medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games coming second to Jamaica's Kemar Bailey-Cole in the 100 m final in a time of 10.10 seconds.
