A set of selfless 8-year-old twins from Barnehurst will run one mile in memory of their beloved dad - who was once told he may never father children.
Sophie and Alfie Harvey of Brantwood Road lost their dad, Paul, to Cystic Fibrosis in December 2012 - just six months after he underwent a double lung transplant.
The twins were born using IVF after Paul and his wife, Sarah, were told they may never have children due to the illness.
The twins were just six-years-old when their dad, a long-standing member of Bexley and Belvedere Hockey Club (BBHC), died.
Sarah Harvey said: "The fact that we had them was absolutely remarkable.
"Paul was so proud of them - they are amazing kids."
On May 18 BBHC held a memorial tournament in memory of Paul at Bexleyheath Sports Club - presenting his family with a replica of Paul's shirt.
Sophie and Alfie, who are pupils at Bursted Wood Primary School, will take part in the ninth Dulwich Park Fun Run on May 31 to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The twins have, so far, raised over £400 for the charity.
