A Mini Marathon fundraiser has been hailed a resounding success for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

Over 700 children aged from 5 to 16 years old took part in the 2.62 mile sponsored fun run on April 27th around Royal Greenwich Park to raise funds for the charity.

The event, supported by NatWest, is expected to raise over £26,000 for the specialist palliative end of life care and support services provided by the Hospice.

Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice is a registered charity that provides free specialist end of life nursing, medical care and support for local people, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it relies on the support of the local community to continue its work.

The Hospice’s next big fundraising event is its 2nd annual Great Big Community Cuppa Week, which runs from May 12th to 18th and an Open Evening at the Hospice on May 14th from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
