A JOURNALIST has launched a new political party to promote equal opportunities.
Former war reporter Jeremy McClintock launched The Right Path Party in Royal Parade, Chislehurst, last month.
Mr McClintock's manifesto includes stronger terror laws, tax relief for second home owners and compulsory sport in schools.
Brought up in South Africa, Mr McClintock, 38, began his career at the Sunday Telegraph as a junior reporter and went on to cover the war in the former Yugoslavia.
Mr McClintock said: "Politics is about spreading equality. In recent times that opportunity has been sadly lacking.
"The Right Path Party can begin the process of giving people back a sense of chance. I want to represent people regardless of creed, class or religion."
Mr McClintock, who is married with two children and lives in Keston, would consider standing as a candidate for Bromley and Chislehurst should Labour call a snap election this year.
